Working in NTV as Chief of Correspondents

I was joined NTV as a “Newsroom Editor” (2006-2007) and was gradually promoted to the position of “Junior Staff Reporter” (2007-2008), “Staff Reporter” (2008-2011), “Senior Staff Correspondent” (2011- 2016), “Special Correspondent” (2016- 2020) and now I am working as “Chief of Correspondents” (2020- Till now) in the News and Current Affairs Department (NCA). As a long-experienced journalist, I have strong skills for leading national press media and broadcasting communications. I am an expert for smooth operation in the functioning of news and newsroom-related all tasks and NCA related television programs. I schedule 25 News Reporter 64 district correspondent for daily news and gather information on general news and relay it in a creative manner for the people.

2020 - Till now

Worked as a “CHIEF OF CORRESPONDENTS” in INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION CHANNEL NTV (NTV). As a long-experienced journalist, I have strong skills for leading national press media and broadcasting communications. I am an expert for smooth operation in the functioning of news and newsroom- related all tasks and NCA related television programs. I schedule 25 News Reporter 64 district correspondent for daily news and gather information on general news and relay it in a creative manner for the people.

2016-2020

Worked as a “SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT” in INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION CHANNEL NTV (NTV). Job responsibilities include covering major national and international events, giving live commentary of sensitive incidents and preparing exclusive investigative reports.

2011- 2016

Worked as a “SENIOR REPORTER” in INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION CHANNEL NTV (NTV). Job responsibilities included covering regular incidents alongside making exclusive investigative reports on corruption, Trafficking and other criminal activities.

2008-2011

Worked as “STAFF REPORTER” in INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION CHANNEL NTV (NTV). Job Responsibilities: investigative reporting.

2007-2008

Worked as “JUNIOR STAFF REPORTER” in INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION CHANNEL (NTV). Job Responsibilities included covering regular events including media briefings of police, ministries and civil society organisations and providing support to national and central desk.

2006-2007

Worked as “NEWSROOM EDITOR” in INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION CHANNEL (NTV). Job Responsibilities: Writing scrolls with updated information that run along the bottom-line of the screen round the clock.

Planning and Presentation of TV Programmes

NEWS INSIDE (নিউজ ইনসাইড)

I have been planning and anchoring on screen a popular quarterly news and current affair programme titled “NEWS INSIDE (নিউজ ইনসাইড)” since October 2015. Ministers of Bangladesh government, top officials of law enforcing and security agencies and of the administration and other important political leaders and civil society members are interviewed to the programme that goes on air at 11.30 pm every alternative Friday.

I am also responsible of planning and anchoring another programme titled ‘PROBASH JIBON (প্রবাস জীবন) (Life of Expatriate Bangladeshis)’ that tells the untold stories of Bangladeshis living in foreign countries. The programme has brought to light the lifestyle, stories of struggle and successes of Bangladeshis living abroad, their days of joy and sorrow. Besides, it highlights their problems, potentials and promises for further progress. The programme that was launched in march 2017 goes on air at 11.30 pm every alternative Friday.

Member of Dhaka Reporters Unity, the largest organization of reporters working in various national print, electronic and online media. Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) is a professional organization of the reporters of newspaper, news organizations, and electronic media based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. DRU was founded in 1995 seeks to work for the interest of reporters, and aims to create a unique platform for the reporters to work together under one umbrella for the advancement of the standard of journalism in the Country. Dhaka Reporters Unity also tries to uphold and maintain high standard of credibility of a free press, and fair professional practices of journalism. About 1350 members of DRU have been engaged in reporting in the Country. The Reporters Unity regularly organizes training programs, discourses, workshops and computer courses for the reporters. Dhaka Reporters Unity’s one of the regular programs is “Meet the Reporters” where diplomats, politicians, society’s recognized persons face the reporters to respond of various questions on various issues that are important for national interest. Each year, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) offers awards for outstanding performances in reporting on various fields such as Investigative, Business, Crime, Education, and Sports.
